Well respected psychiatrist in London working with the World Health Organisation at various points in his career. One time head of the psychology department at University College Hospital. Played the organ at Waldron parish church for many years while living at Bourne House, Heathfield (c1945-c1970). Then moved to Moreton Hampstead, Devon. (Lived with his family in the grounds of Hellingly Hospital for about 7 months during 1964-65 as part of his houseman's training.)
Died of pneumonia 10 April 1986.

Bought Bourne House, Prospect Rd., Heathfield for the family in c1945. (Kenneth and family lived in the grounds of Hellingly Hospital for about 7 months during 1964-65 as part of his houseman's training.) The family moved to Devon after she died.
Died in 1971 or 1972 of recurrent strokes.

Married; Kenneth Soddy (1911-1986) as his 2nd wife, summer 1972, Hampstead, Middx.
After his death in 1986, she remarried Justice Paul Clarke, who also subsequently died.
Living in Devon in 1997.
Reputed to possess the original diary of the voyage of 'The Duff' (see William Soddy 1778-1840), and many other family heirlooms.

Married; Ann Harding Dunbar (1941-??) from Johannesburg in March 1962 at Waldron Parish Church. His sister Julia was a bridesmaid.
Lived at Bourne House, Prospect Road, Heathfield at that time (since 1945), and part of the Dunbar family lived at Horam Road. They met through mutual acquaintances. (Kenneth and family lived in the grounds of Hellingly Hospital for about 7 months during 1964-65 as part of his houseman's training.)
They emigrated from Norfolk to Sydney, Australia in December 1977. Medical practitioner, specialising in child and family psychiatry.

1941 - ?? ANN HARDING SODDY (nee DUNBAR)

Born; 10 December 1941, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Parents; Charles John Dunbar (born 22 November 1906, Longton, Cumberland), and Winifred Mary Zinn (born 3 August 1910). They emigrated to Johannesburg around 1910. Charles became Chairman and MD of GEC Southern Africa. Both were still living in Johannesburg in 1997.
Married; Andrew Geoffrey Soddy in March 1962 at Waldron Parish church. She met him while at finishing school at St.Anns. He lived in Heathfield at that time, and part of the Dunbar family lived at Horam Road, Sussex. They met through mutual acquaintances.
Andrew and Ann emigrated to Sydney, Australia in December 1977, according to his daughter Kathryn.
Ann had a twin brother Brian John Dunbar living in Durban 1997.

Lived c1945-196? at Bourne House, Prospect Rd., Heathfield. Worked at Hellingly. (Kenneth and family lived in the grounds of Hellingly Hospital for about 7 months during 1964-65 as part of his houseman's training.)
Graduate fellowship and 1st class honours in Philosophy at the University of Toronto. According to an Email received from her niece Kathryn Soddy 22 December 1996, she also had a PhD in Anthropology, previously was a lecturer, but was at the time writing a book about the Inuit. They were living in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario in December 1996.

Family emigrated to Australia in 1966.
Married; Kathryn Rensche Soddy (1965-??) 27 February 1993. He was living in Canberra, Australia at that time.
He ran a chain of photographic shops, living at Crows Nest, a lower North Shore suburb of Sydney in 1997. With his wife, became 1996 ballooning champions of Australia.

Married; (1) Paul Gibbs (born Harpenden, Herts) from Canberra, Australia, 27 February 1993 (his family were originally from Harpenden, Herts., but moved to Australia when he was 3 years old).
Married; (2) to ?? around 2002.
Emigrated with her parents to Sydney, Australia in Dec 1977.
Doctor (GP) in Australia in 1997, living at Crows Nest, a lower North Shore suburb of Sydney. With her husband, became 1996 ballooning champions of Australia.
Kathryn seems to be the last person born with the Soddy surname.
